5 Tips for Getting on the Ticket Waitlist for TSJF

This Friday April 5, 2019, the ticket waitlist for TSJF tapings and monologue rehearsals open up for May tapings. The TSJF official site tells you how to request tickets, but we are going to share some tips to get you on the waitlist before you see ‘sold out’ on every date.

  1. Be prepared. The whole waitlist process moves very quickly! Make sure you have signed up for a 1iota account and fill out all your details on your profile before the waitlist opening date. Also follow @FallonTix on Twitter for ticketing updates and schedule changes.
  2. Decide on your dates! You can request up to 3 dates. If you know what dates you would like to request tickets for, keep this in mind when the waitlist calendar opens. The ticket waitlist for TSJF fills up very quickly, so you need to be signed in and refresh the ticket calendar right on 11:30AM EDT! – work out any time difference at least the day before, if you are coming from overseas or live in a different timezone to the East Coast. The Show does not always tape on Fridays, however they do still tape Friday shows, but sometimes they are taped after the Thursday tapings. If any dates is not on the calender, it means the show is not taping on those days. The show does not ‘release more’ tickets on a later date, unless there are special circumstances.
  3. Get those fingers moving as fast as you can! Hit that refresh button once it hits 11:30AM and go, go, go! Once you find the date(s) you want, click on it/them, fill in your name and number of guests and hit send. Don’t worry about filling in the ‘Why do you want tickets?’ section, it will only slow you down and you can fill it in later. The Tonight Show no longer runs Monologue rehearsals.
  4. Increse your chances of getting tickets. If you plan to attend a taping with a friend or two or three even (you can request up to 4 tickets) Get them to sign up for an account and try to get on the waitlist for the same dates. You cannot get someone (that isn’t going with you) to apply for tickets on your behalf because the account holder needs to be present when collecting the tickets.
  5. Don’t delete your requests. Emails to notify that you have successfully gotten off the waitlist are sent around two weeks before the date of the taping. If you have gotten off the waitlist, first of all Congratulations! but don’t celebrate just yet, you need to click on the link in the email and ‘confirm’ your tickets. If you are unlucky and it doesn’t look like you were successful, don’t delete your requests! Tickets can become available because of cancellations, up to 24hrs before a taping.

Good luck, pals!
